About EZbuy

EZBuy was conceived and developed by a large California auto insurance broker as a simple and efficient web based alternative for making sales. The goal wasn’t to have a just another website. The goal was to simply make the purchase of auto insurance even easier than the website buying methods currently found on the internet. After three years of research and development, EZBuy was launched on January 1, 2006 by a California broker to be used exclusively in-house.

 

EZBuy is a point of sale process that allows a producer to gather, generate and convey information and signatures needed for the completion and submission of an auto insurance application using the internet. However, it soon became clear that EZBuy was more than just a simple and efficient sales alternative. Unlike auto insurance websites where a customer struggles alone and may only receive a price, the EZBuy system is a unique online process that allows the producer to complete the sale after giving a quote and while the customer is still on the telephone. EZBuy has proven to be safe and has built-in features to discourage fraud and misrepresentation by requiring the customer to personally review and acknowledge information for accuracy online and before coverage is bound. However, the best part about EZBuy is that it creates happy customers because they don’t have to deal with fax machines or drive to an office to buy auto insurance. The customer simply logs on to EZBuy from any computer. Once logged on, the producer guides the customer through the EZBuy process over the phone. With a few clicks the customer completes the EZBuy process and the producer submits the application for binding. It’s that simple! Or should we say it’s that EZ!
 
Needless to say, EZBuy customers have been absolutely thrilled with both the convenience and ease of use. Customers and producers like the fact that an EZBuy sale takes only 10-15 minutes to complete as compared to the 30-45 minutes (not including drive time) needed for a traditional transaction. That’s not all. It’s business as usual for the producer because they still use the same familiar methods to rate and bind coverage. In short, EZBuy blends the old with the new and has proven to be the missing link for a producer to conduct a complex auto insurance transaction online.
 
EZBuy has also leveled the playing field with the direct insurance carriers. The direct carriers have put a dent in the insurance retail business with their heavy advertising touting the convenience of buying online or over the phone. However, now EZBuy makes it even easier for a customer to buy from a producer rather than a direct carrier. Plus, while direct carriers are limited to selling their one and only program, producers can sell most of their favorite auto programs with EZBuy.
 
Another advantage is that it no longer matters where a customer is calling from. That’s because there are no geographical limitations when selling through EZBuy. Thousands of customers have successfully transacted auto insurance with EZBuy. Many of those customers were hundreds, even thousands of miles away. In fact, one customer completed an EZBuy sale with a California producer while traveling over 7,000 miles away in Hong Kong.
 
Contrary to what the direct carriers might tell you, insurance producers do provide a valuable service. But providing service isn’t enough to pay the bills. Producers need to acquire new customers if they want to continue in business. EZBuy makes that job a whole lot easier by allowing the producer to make every sales call count regardless of where the call is coming from.
